Q1. Am I eligible to apply for admission to your College?

Answer:           if you fulfill the following conditions:

Class 8th

  1. The candidate must not be over 14 and under 12 years of age on 1st April of the year of Entry.
  2. The candidate must have passed Class VII or equivalent by 1st April of the year of Entry.

Class XI

  1. The candidate must not be over 17 and under 15 years of age on 1st April of the year of Entry.
  2. The candidate must have obtained minimum 70% or equivalent marks in their SSC Board exams in order to apply in college.

Q2. Is there any age relaxation?

Answer:         Yes, for Hafiz-e-Quran College gives 6 months age relaxation.

Q3. How can I apply for the admission?

Answer:The admission form is available to be downloaded from our website. Moreover, the College Prospectus contains the application Form and detailed information about this institution. It can be obtained from the college Admission Office by hand on cash payment of Rs.600/-. It can also be obtained by post for Rs.700/- through a crossed bank draft in favour of Principal, Garrison Cadet College Kohat. The prospectus are also made available on Army Recruitment Centres of major cities for the duration of admission.

Q4. What is the method of selection?

Answer:         The following procedure is adopted for selection.

Written Test:

Class 8th :

An open competitive examination comprising four papers (Mathematics, General Science, English and Urdu/Islamyat) is held in December every year at Kohat, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, D.I.Khan, Sialkot and Karachi.

Interview and Medical Examination:

The candidates who qualify the written examination are required to appear for interview and medical examination.

Class XI:

An open competitive examination comprising four papers (Mathematics/Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English) of SSC Part I and II is held in May every year at Kohat centre only.

The candidates who qualify the written examination are required to appear for interview and medical examination.

 Q5. Is there any relaxation for Foreigners to skip Urdu Paper?

Answer: No, Urdu / Islamiyat is compulsory, and no alternative subject is allowed. The candidates from O-level or A-level or overseas must qualify this paper. However Islamiyat paper can be attempted in English as well. The non-Muslim candidates are given an alternate choice for Islamiyat part of the paper.

Q6. Where can I Take my Entry Test?

Answer:The entrance exam of class 8th is conducted at Kohat, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, D.I.Khan, Sialkot and Karachi on announced dates and timings. The entrance exam of class 11th is only conducted at Kohat on announced date and timing.

Q7. Are there any prescribed books to prepare for the Entry Test?

Answer:         Yes, books of 7th class relevant subjects of KPK text book board and Punjab text book board.

Q8. Are the previous/model Question Papers available on the website or in the prospectus?

Answer:         Yes these are  available in the prospectus and on website.

Q9. Can admission be sought in any class in the College?

Answer:         No, only in 8th and 11th class.

Q10. Are there any army, civil or provincial quota of seats for admission?

Answer:         Yes we have following Quota system:
